Debate: Future of Work and Death – what awaits us?

after the screening of “Future of Work and Death” by Sean Blacknell, Wayne Walsh

In Polish only

Partner: Jutronauci / „Gazeta Wyborcza”

A New Golden Era awaits the human race: robots will do all of our work for us and the physical body will cease to be a limit to our life. An immortal man deprived of work will be able to commit to unlimited consumption and creation. Or perhaps a time of social crisis is coming, a world further divided by a narrow group of entitled super-humans and the enslaved and depressed masses. What will reality look like after the next technological revolution?

The debate will include:

professor Dariusz Jemielniak – Polish theorist of management, professor of economic sciences and specialist in managing high technology and organizations open to cooperation, director of Department of International Management and the Center for Research on Organizations and Workplaces at the Kozminski University, founder of the NeRDS group (New Research on Digital Societies)

professor Michał Buchowski – Polish social anthropologist, philosopher, cultural scientist, director of the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the Centre for Migration Studies. Member of editorial boards of several international magazines, among them “Social Anthropology”, “Journal of Language and Politics” and “Socialni Studie”.
