Debate about Polish tourism with Max Cegielski and Paweł Cywiński
after the screening of “Tourists” by Mateusz Romaszkan
In Polish only
After the film “Tourists” we will have a conversation about who the Polish tourist is. Why does everybody set up screens on beaches in Poland? Why are drinks in all inclusive offers so important to the Polish tourist? And what’s up with the clapping after plane landings? We will also wonder about how our drive towards exotic vacations affect global interests.
The debate will include:
Max Cegielski – a Polish journalist, writer, radio and television host, an animator of culture and traveller. Author of the books: “Apokalipso” (2004), “Pijani Bogiem” (“Drunk with God”, 2007), “Masala” (2008), “The Eye of the World. From Constantinople to Istanbul” (Beata Pawlak Award, 2009), “Mozaika. Śladami Rechowiczów” (“Mosaic. In the footsteps of Rechowicz familye”, 2011) and “Leksykon buntowników” (“The Lexicon of Rebels”, 2013).
