The film touches on tendencies characteristic of our time through the portrayal of the young and ambitious violinist Charlie Siem. As a violinist, he is constantly on tour. At the same time, he works as a model for several of the world’s leading fashion houses. This combination has made magazines label him a “rock star” violinist, and he has young audiences listening to his interpretations of Brahms and Beethoven in concert halls around the world. On the face of it, this sounds like the perfect life. But behind his photogenic facade Charlie struggles to create a life that meets both his own and the world’s ideas of success and happiness.
