Marathon: writing Wikipedia articles on women human rights defenders

As part of the campaign Amnesty International Poland – “Stand Up For the Brave” a collective marathon of writing wikipedia articles takes place in over a dozen countries. We will be writing and adding to the biographies of defenders of human’s rights – there aren’t currently enough of them in Wikipedia. We would like to emphasize their contribution towards building a civic society and show the threats they must face every day as well as the positive changes their work can make in the world. We would like to ask to come with laptops or other mobile devices and to confirm participation by the 16th of May by writing to amnesty@amnesty.org.pl with “Wikipedia” in the subject line.
