Photography today is a medium of enormous and unprecedented strength and level of dissemination. Furthermore no other medium before this has been used to such an extent by amateurs that we now can speak of overproduction of images. The camera – and it does not matter if it’s a professional camera or the one in a cell-phone – is now with us every day and has become a new form of communication. Can photography become a tool for social activities? How does it function in such a context? What projects are made in this field in Poland?
The lecture will be conducted by:
Maciej Bujko and Paulina Anna Galanciak – members of the Wrocław TIFF Collective, which among other is developing the TIFF Academy // Super Van project and TIFF Festival.
