Screening of the film “Childhood” will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the Lalka room of the Lower Silesian Film Centre (DCF). There is a possibility to enter the screening with child (the screening room will be adapted appropriately by lower sound volume and lowered lighting).

Fundamental play is based on two assumptions: one is that eight types of intelligence exist (logical-mathematical, verbal-linguistic, visual-spatial, interpersonal/intra-personal, musical-rhythmic/harmonic, and naturalist) and the other is that love, feeling of safety and play are crucial to the development of a child’s understanding of the world and feeling.

The workshops will stimulate all senses (touch, sound, smell, sight, depth-perception) because stimulating each one of them in the right way positively influences the development of a small child. During fundamental play diversity is very important – it is about actively supporting the child and in an optimal way develop all of it’s eight types of intelligence.

*We would kindly ask that parents bring additional clothes for the kids: there is a possibility that we will get dirty.

The workshop will be conducted by Magda Chmielewska – a mother of three. As she believes herself, motherhood shaped her and has given her confidence. She resigned from work in a corporation to fully commit to maternity and currently she finds fulfillment as an advisor in carrying children, breastfeeding, and as a Doula and instructor in Shantala massage. She is the editor of a quarterly publication “SPLOT”, and organizes weekly “Close Encounters with Parenthood” for current and future parents and will conduct classes for children aged 4 to 18 months old.
