Another edition of the European Night of Literature will take place on the 9th of June at the Przedmieście Oławskie neighborhood in Wrocław. This years edition, the curator of which is Michał Nogaś, will show the different faces of the alien and alienation: non-conformity to conservative norms due to heritage or sexual orientation, being part of a group condemned to disappear, persecution due to skin color, being excluded in a 40 million people nation. All of these subjects are talked about in texts by the best European writers, which we will get an early glimpse at during the European Night of Literature. The prologue of the event will take place during the 15th edition of the Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival after the film “Lyubov – Love in Russian”. We will have the chance to listen live to fragments of literature by the character featured in the film – a Belarusian writer, winner of a Nobel Award in Literature, Svetlana Alexievich.
