Documentary Academy | Junior High Schools | Screening of films from the block: “Kids on the Silk Road / Nepal, Kirgistan, Bangladesh” and a meeting with a film educator, Paulina Pohl.
You will meet Poonam from Nepal who is marrying Jevad from Bangladesh. He earns a living himself. There is Dianar from Kyrgystan who feels he has put his brother’s life in danger too. After the films we will talk about kids’ lives in other countries as well as how they are similar and different from the lives of their Polish peers or the challenges they have to face and the ways they deal with them. All the films belong to the “Kids on the Silk Road” cycle. It is a series of five films about the lives of children in central and south-eastern Asia.
