Yony Leyser (B. 1984) grew up in Chicago. He studied writing, filmmaking and the dramatic arts in High School and at University. His mother is of Israeli/Iranian origin and his father of German Jewish origin. His work deals with race, gender identity, pop-culture and deviant social histories.
