Dominique Marchais is a French director who began as a film critic for the Inrockuptibles, after a degree in philosophy at the Sorbonne. Between 1998 and 2003, he participated in the editing of the films of Pierre Léon, Pedro Costa and Jean-Claude Biette. In 2003, he wrote and directed his first short film, Lenz escaped. His films have been selected in many festivals across France and internationally.
