After her studies Theatre Studies Mirjam Marks started working at Vpro, Dutch Public Television Channel. Mirjam became specialized in youth documentaries and series all over the world. Between 1999 and 2011 Mirjam lived and worked for 6 years in Suriname. There she made several documentaries for Dutch television , initiated several workshops for kids and founded Children’s museum Villa Zapakara. Back in the Netherlands , 2011, she continued her work as a documentary maker , developed filmworkshops for asylum seekers children and since 2014 she joined Cinekid filmfestival as Head of Television.
