Daisy Asquith fell in love with documentaries while watching a box of VHS tapes handed over by a neighbour in the block of flats she grew up in. An obsession developed that took the place of any formal training. She started by filming her own family, much to their annoyance. Daisy has now made 25 films. The stories she tells often deal with shame and untold stories and she tries to bring humour and warmth to every subject.
