Contest “Shades of Freedom”

Discovery Poland, Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival and the National Film Archive – Audiovisual Institute invited filmmakers – professional and amateur alike – to take part in a competition inspired by the 100th anniversary of Poland’s regaining of independence. The theme of the competition – shades of freedom – encouraged the free interpretation of the term „freedom.” From the short documentaries sent to the jury, the jury chose 12. Among them, the winners will be chosen. The founder of the Grand Prix Discovery (PLN 10,000) is Discovery Poland. The FINA Grand Prix (PLN 10,000) was funded by the National Film Archive – Audiovisual Institute. The value of the Audience Award (voting takes place by means of the website odcieniewolnosci.pl) is PLN 5,000. The best films will be broadcasted on Discovery Channel and during the Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival in 24 cities (Warsaw, Wrocław, Gdynia, Lublin, Bydgoszcz and 19 cities where the Weekend with the 15th Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival will be held).
