In Poland abortion belongs to the most controversial and emotionally igniting subjects. We live in a country, which has one of harshest laws in Europe when it comes to abortion. For the last several months once again a discussion has rolled through Poland about this subject. In what situations is abortion in Poland legal? In what direction should we change the existing laws? Perhaps the current “compromise” – as is the current law being called – should be kept the way it is? If the subject differentiates, we should perhaps wonder how we should bring the subject up in public debate. What will be changed in our reality by limiting access to prenatal healthcare?
The debate will include:
Bianka Lewandowska – Institute of Psychology at the University of Wrocław
Wiktoria Marzec – member of the 8th of March initiative, a key organizer of Wrocław Manifa
Karolina Pesz – Department of Genetics of the Wrocław Medical University
The debate will be conducted by:
Marta Trawińska – doctor of sociology, independent researcher, trainer of social competences, trainer in anti-discrimination
