Singled Out
”Singled Out” tells the story of five educated women who are coming to terms with being single and finding their place in the modern world. Shot in Melbourne, Shanghai, Istanbul and Barcelona, the film is an intimate and personal four-year journey from film-makers Mariona Guiu and Ariadna Relea. It came from their very own personal struggles with being single. It explores what it means to be a single woman in a world defined by increasing independence and choice. The film-makers have interviewed experts, travelled the world and discovered that their concerns are part of a bigger picture.
