Wiktoria Szymańska is a British Academy nominated director, recognized and regularly awarded for her achievements shown in prestigious festivals (like Toronto, Locarno, Karlove Vary…).
Wiktoria Szymańska was born in Poland, grew up in UK, studied in France (La Sorbonne, La Femis) and Warsaw (Wajda School), and took part in Eurodoc, Esodoc and Archidoc.
She now works between Poland, France, England, Mexico and Germany.
She was a fellow of Nipkow program and British Arts Council Award and worked for many European Tvs. Her documentaries are coproduced by ARTE, Channel4, SVT, YLE, BBC, AVRO, TVP, NHK, supported by Arts Council, Creative Europe, PISF, CNC, and regional funds in France and Poland.
