Raghu Rai, an Unframed Portrait
Nostalgia: the beginning of many stories. A little bird had to leave the nest and as that moment grew nearer, her heart sank and fluttered and she knew not why. So she wandered off to a faraway land and thought of her father quite often. He taught her how to fly, but first he taught her about her feathres. But mostly, this is a glimpse into the life that is Raghu Rai, the legendary photographer who lived through some of the best and toughest times in India, and kept alive moments that have the power to humble us. Raghu Rai, a simple, rooted, honest, good man, and fortunately, also my father.
